Trick-or-Treat 2009
What fun!!! (that is to be read with a tone of sarcasm)
Here are the kids just as we headed out the door for some trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.
When I say "around" I really mean to the 4 houses nearest to us. We simply didn't have time for much treating by foot, which is a shame because they REALLY enjoyed this part.

After our brief trip "around" the neighborhood. We packed an unsatisfied elephant and a whinny peacock into their carseats and started our tour around Limestone Co.

.............Impossible Group Shot #2
I really do appreciate that we have so much family living near by...it is just that on the holidays the expectations become a bit daunting.
We of course enjoy visiting with everyone, we just prefer to spread the love out over a longer period of time and not in itchy, bulky, have to adjust the straps to fit in the car seat costumes.
Thank goodness we got to "fall back" an hour that night or Guy would have been taking my confession Sunday morning for the things I might have done in my state of exhaustion.
Can't wait until next year!!!

Lovell Boys Birthday Breakfast/Mawmaw & Pawpaw Halloween
Halloween morning we all headed to Mawmaw's and Pawpaw's for breakfast to celebrate all the boy's birthdays (Will, Matt, Jim, and Jordan).
While we were there we also did our "Trick-or-treating" with Mawmaw, Pawpaw and the cousins (minus Aubrey).

Happy Birthday William!!!
Happy Birthday Nana!!
Thursday night we went to a surprise birthday party for Nana. She is a very special lady and we were glad we got to celebrate with her on her birthday.
I think she was genuinely surprised.

I think she was genuinely surprised.
Emma fixed up our card to Nana in a little Halloween bag with animal crackers and a candy bar. She really put a lot of effort and thought into what she wanted to put in the bag and was really excited about giving it to her. Immediately after Nana opened her gift Emma asked for the bag back, and if she could have one of the animal crackers, and maybe one for William too. The candy bar had been taken out before Nana even started opening gifts so by the end of the party all that was left of the gift was the original card. I suppose it really is the thought that counts.
Getting Ready
We spent most of our day Thursday getting ready for all of the Halloween festivities coming up over the weekend.
We needed goody bags for school parties, Williams birthday and a Halloween party with friends...thank goodness I had a candy packing machine to help out.

The twist ties were a little tricky...
